A Shot in The Dark
Putting a piece of content out on the internet for the first time is slightly terrifying. By publishing this I have no idea who is going to see it, how many people are going to see it, or if it will change how people think of me. It could haunt me forever if I were to say something that won't age well. If I say something particularly vile, I may be effectively disqualified from things like running for political office, or being a generally public person. It could reach my employer and I could be risking my livelihood.
I'm doing it anyways. I can't be exactly sure why, but I think it's because as a human I feel the need to share with others the wisdom I have accumulated. That's not to say that that I'm wise, or even wiser than anybody else. But the things I learn in this life can't be shared unless I put them to paper. And holy shit, that's exciting.
The reverberations that certain passages of text have made through our world are unimaginably large. Millions have lived and died based on the writings of a few men. I have no ambitions of starting a worldwide ideological movement with what I post on this website, but I do think that the small tidbits of knowledge and wisdom I've picked up over my few years could be of benefit to someone. Everyone needs to share what they've learned, or else we will rely on the words of a few ideologues who write infectious content meant to manipulate us into serving their whims.
So yes, I have no idea who will read this, or what they will take away from it, but I hope that I can leave someone slightly more informed or wise than they were before.
